Who we are
This site is operated by Rachael Gray Smith, a licensed Texas real estate agent (License #0657985) with Compass RE Texas LLC, doing business as Graysmith Properties. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," that's who we mean.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us. That includes:
- Email signup info. When you sign up for a free guide or the email list, we collect your first name and email address.
- Contact form submissions. When you send a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message.
- Booking info. When you schedule a call through our Calendly link, Calendly collects the info you provide to book the meeting.
- Quiz answers. The Move Up quiz and Neighborhood quiz run entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us unless you also opt in to a guide or join the email list.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
How we use it
Your information is used to do the thing you asked us to do:
- Send you the guide or resource you requested.
- Send you occasional, genuinely useful emails about Dallas real estate if you opted in to the list.
- Respond to your message, book your call, or follow up on a question you asked.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent your information. We do not hand it off to third-party advertisers.
Third parties that help us run the site
We use a small number of trusted services to operate this site. They see only what they need to do their job:
- Flodesk processes email signups and stores your name and email so we can send you the guides and email list. See Flodesk's privacy policy.
- Formspree handles the contact form and delivers your message to our inbox. See Formspree's privacy policy.
- Calendly handles meeting bookings. See Calendly's privacy notice.
- Cloudflare Pages hosts this site and keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for security and performance. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The third-party services listed above may set functional cookies needed for their features to work (for example, Flodesk setting a cookie to remember that you already submitted a form). Your browser lets you block or delete cookies at any time.
Email and unsubscribing
If you join the email list, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. One click, done. Unsubscribing removes you from future marketing emails. It does not cancel transactional communication about an active real estate transaction you're in with us.
Your rights
Texas residents and visitors from other jurisdictions with data protection laws (including the EU and California) have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we have about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Ask us to stop using it for marketing.
To exercise any of these rights, email rachael@graysmithproperties.com and we'll handle it within a reasonable timeframe.
Security
We rely on the security practices of the services above, all of which use encryption in transit. No online service is perfectly secure, but we don't store any more of your information than we need to, and we don't store payment information on this site.
Real estate regulatory compliance
As a Texas-licensed real estate agent, Rachael Gray Smith complies with TREC rules, including providing the Information About Brokerage Services form and Consumer Protection Notice when required. Compass RE Texas LLC is an Equal Housing Opportunity brokerage.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes that affect existing subscribers will also be communicated by email.
